March 10, 2014Early Signs of Spring

The last few days of sunshine and warmth have been wonderfully liberating. Finally, winter’s cold dark grip is loosening its hold and I am unfurling from my winter funk. On close inspection I can see buds on trees and plants poking through the cool wet soil. I love the newness that spring brings. The onset of these warmer days means we’ve been spending more time outdoors playing and working. We’ve been raking leaves and dead brush to make room for new growth. This weekend I took out the BBQ and patio furniture and started packing away our winter gear. Am I being too optimistic about these warmer days? Hopefully not, because I am welcoming spring with open arms.
