July 27, 2013Airplane in the Living Room

Sometimes I lie on the floor, right in the middle of my living room. Within seconds my children find me and the playing begins. There is an openness and vulnerability to taking this position on the floor. I usually get stepped on or my glasses get bent but the happiness that my children display is worth all the discomfort that might arise. I remember playing with my papa in a similar way when I was young, and just thinking about all the airplane rides that we took on the soles of his feet makes me smile.
