Happy Easter my friends! Alleluia He is risen!
What a blessing it has been to celebrate Easter with family. My parents and younger brother arrived at the end of last week and while they were here there was no shortage of laughter and celebration. Today they make their journey home and I am sad to see them leave. It would be nice to have them move here and it is my hope that one day they will.
Our Easter celebrations were simple this year. We dyed Easter eggs with natural food dye, the children followed a pictorial treasure hunt to find their Easter baskets and we ate plenty of delicious food. How exciting that Easter Sunday is only the beginning of Easter. That’s right! Easter lasts for 50 days until the feast of Pentecost on May 19th. I hope that the Easter season is special time for all of you.
